As a Cosmetics Product Maker, you will be responsible for manufacturing our skincare products with precision and care. You will work hands-on in our production facility, following standard operating procedures to ensure consistency, quality, and safety. This includes weighing ingredients, batching, blending, filling, and kitting product. This role is essential to meeting customer demand while maintaining the high standards of our brand.
About us
Zodica Perfumery is a fast-growing indie beauty company and woman-owned business with products sold in almost 600 boutiques across the US. We are seeking a detail-obsessed cosmetics maker to join us in crafting our high-quality products. Our collection of 12 scents are available in the form of a perfume, lotion, hair serum and bath bomb, all of which we make in-house.
Our Madison, Wisconsin based team maintains a positive, enthusiastic, fast-paced environment. Those with experience in cosmetics manufacturing, order fulfillment, food service, or salon services do well here. We are willing to train the right person. All our products are made by hand in small batches and your attention to detail will bring a little magic to our customerâs day.
Preferred:
Experience in GMP cosmetic or OTC manufacturing, or a related field is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Where You Can Shine
- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients to create skincare products such as body lotion, perfume, serum and bath bombs
- Operate and maintain production equipment to ensure efficiency and safety
- Follow detailed recipes and guidelines to achieve consistent product quality
- Labeling products, ingredients, and other materials precisely and recording production activities in logs, correctly calculating dates
- Conduct regular checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production area
- Assisting with inventory, restocking, and materials storage, helping receive raw materials and cataloging them properly
- Track raw material usage and report inventory needs to the owner
- Provide feedback on production processes to help improve efficiency and quality
- Communicating with the team using Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Docs and following data entry procedures on a computer (training provided)
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with good attention to detail and the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills along with ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining composure and respect for everyone.
- Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to write reports and findings and present to all levels of management in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with information
- Available M-F, 8-4:30
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience
- Basic math and computer skills
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Not sensitive to beauty products and fragrances
- Fluent English
- Reliable transportation and live local to Madison, Wisconsin
Physical Requirements:
To perform the essential functions of this job successfully, team members are regularly required to stand, reach, handle small objects, sit, walk, kneel, or crouch. Employees regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, sometimes lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more weight with another team member. Employees in this position must be able to complete work for extended periods of time, which may require sitting or standing for extended periods, focusing on a task and performing repetitive movements. Employee will be exposed to alcohol-based fragrances and a scented environment. Must be capable of using a keyboard for computer purposes.
Manufacturing Environment:
Well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned.
Schedule and Pay:
This is a full-time day shift role working Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch. Starting wage is $18-$22/hr, depending on experience. Our employee benefit package includes health care, paid time off, paid holidays, and employee discount.
